The 18th Participatory Design Conference (PDC) 2024, hosted in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia, marked a significant milestone as the first PDC held in Asia. Since its inception in 1990, PDC has served as a leading platform for fostering innovative and critical discussions in the field of Participatory Design (PD). The 2024 edition, themed “Reaching Out: Connecting Beyond Participation,” focused on building new alliances and extending the reach of PD across diverse disciplines, geographies, and communities to drive impactful change initiatives.
